The main objectives of the Sanju Rai Foundation are:
1. This institution will be a non-profit, public welfare-oriented social organization.
2. To build shelters (homes) across the country for girls and elderly mothers facing various problems and to carry out various activities for their proper care and protection.
3. To establish a girls’ protection center with all the necessary arrangements for orphaned girls to lead a bright future and to carry out related activities.
4. To provide a safe living environment for girls and elderly mothers who are subjected to abuse and neglect as well as provide them with food, clothing, medical care, shelter and basic amenities.
5. To assist elderly mothers in leading a dignified life by providing regular health check-ups, counseling and support services helping them face the challenges of old age both physically and emotionally.
6. To open a Kanya Gurukul (a residential school for girls) and carry out activities related to it.
7. To organize awareness programs to eliminate social evils, customs and malpractices prevalent in society. Various programs will be held to discourage sexual abuse of girls and special programs on nutrition, vitamins and maternal health, as well as on women’s uterine and prolapse-related health issues will be organized. Necessary coordination and cooperation will be provided for solving and treating such problems.
8. To provide free legal aid, counselling and advocacy services in collaboration with law enforcement agencies and other institutions to protect girls, elderly mothers and women from abuse and neglect. Programs will be conducted to improve the living standards of women affected by domestic violence. Sustainable domestic industries will be established and operated for women’s income generation. Skills-based training programs will also be conducted for women.
9. To organize religious conferences, seminars, symposiums and training programs ensuring the right of elderly mothers to live happily.
10. To facilitate the provision of necessary services and support to elderly mothers in public transportation, public works, healthcare services, religious and public places.
11. To conduct special programs to monitor whether elderly citizens are receiving the discounts and benefits they are entitled to in public and government bodies and to alert and inform the concerned bodies for their implementation.
12. To organize friendly sports and cultural programs and allocate the collected funds toward the achievement of the aforementioned objectives. Necessary initiatives will be taken to coordinate with various banks and financial institutions to carry out their corporate social responsibility programs in collaboration with this institution.
13. To collaborate with national and international organizations to organize various programs to strongly oppose the exploitation, oppression, injustice and atrocities faced by girls and elderly mothers.
14. To operate a women-friendly ambulance service in collaboration with various government bodies and social organizations.
15. To operate a maternity-specific ambulance service for the health safety of pregnant women.
16. To carry out various programs and receive monetary and material support in collaboration with individuals and organizations to achieve the aforementioned objectives.
17. To conduct health camps and blood donation programs. To assist in the medical treatment of girls and elderly mothers who are unable to afford hospital treatment due to financial constraints and to provide free medicine distribution services through volunteer participation.
18. To enhance the capabilities of women and help them adapt to changing times through capacity-building activities. Various seminars, conferences, religious discourses and domestic and international travels related to the rights of orphaned girls and elderly mothers will be organized. Observational tours will be conducted to study ongoing programs for the care and protection of orphaned girls, elderly mothers and women and the findings will be implemented.
19. To operate a children’s home to protect children as per section 48 of the Children’s Act, 2075.
20. To disseminate the above-mentioned objectives to the masses through mass communication channels such as television, radio, print media, online media, websites and social media with the necessary approvals from relevant bodies.
21. To engage in the development, protection and promotion of necessary physical infrastructure in fields like education, sports, energy, health, information technology, drinking water and environment which are essential for the country’s development.
22. To collaborate with other social organizations with similar objectives to conduct various programs.
23. To carry out all activities that can be performed by a social organization (non-profit distribution company) established under the Company Act.
